Learning Objectives

Identify and classify the main medical devices found in a health facility.

Apply visual and functional inspection procedures before and after equipment use.

Carry out level-1 preventive maintenance (cleaning, disinfection, replacement of consumables, simple adjustments).

Diagnose simple faults and determine whether to intervene directly or call in a specialist (level 2/3 maintenance).

Ensure traceability of interventions in safety and maintenance logs.
