Pharmaceutical Techniques

Program Overview
This three-year specialisation trains highly qualified pharmacy technicians capable of participating in the design, manufacture, administration and storage of medicines under the supervision of a pharmacist, and of delivering holistic, high-quality pharmaceutical care in diverse clinical, industrial and academic settings at local, national and international level.

- Accurately calculate quantities of ingredients required for pharmaceutical product preparation
- Apply formulation principles and techniques to pharmaceutical product preparation
- Ensure all medicines and chemicals are packaged, labelled and stored to maximise stability and safety
- Review and evaluate the patient's medication history in relation to the prescription
- Ensure compliance with local workplace policies and professional conventions
- Prepare and maintain appropriate product documentation
- Apply sterilisation and asepsis principles and techniques related to pharmaceutical product preparation

Entry Requirements
Hold a Baccalauréat C, D or E (science stream), with a strong background in chemistry, biology and physics.
Pass the national competitive entrance examination organised by MINESUP for paramedical BTS programmes.
Be no older than 25 years at the time of the entrance examination.
An aptitude for rigorous work in a pharmaceutical environment (handling chemicals, adhering to asepsis protocols) is essential.
